Starting Language Process at Three

When a child is three, he or she enters a period in which the understanding of words and their meanings will be done faster and easier. When a child turns three, he become very open to spoken learning likespanish lesson , he always want to improve the way he speaks. Now, a new language can be introduced into his world easily. If you start addressing him in the foreign language, he will understand meanings better. The child might take long before he actually speaks any of the new words he hears because he will first assimilate them.
The closer a language is to his native language, the bigger the confusion will be. This basically means that children learn better two very different languages than two languages that are quite similar. At three, no child is 100% sure of all native language words he hears from adults, so trying to teach then words from another language that are too similar to some he hears every day might be very confusing. If you want them to understand the difference between two languages, you will have to choose two very different languages. The new language has to be as different as possible. If you are an native English speaker, then you might want to try to teach your child a language like learn to speak spanish or Italian.
If the child cannot yet articulate the words correctly, you don’t have to worry, this is because his larynx, the main responsible for sound reproduction, is not properly and completely developed yet. In time, as he starts to speak better his native language, he will perfect the second language pronunciation also. Some kids do not distinguish the idea of two languages and simply learn two names for one object. Maybe a few sentences will be made using words from both languages. Instead of giving the child definitions of an object in both languages, we can simply say the name in the foreign language and then point to the object.
Try to make him remember what he has learnt. You can do this by watching movies in that language together because it’s no good to start an early learning if you don’t solicit it regularly. Without practice, a child forgets as easily as he learns. Reading in the foreign language must not be forced. In order to learn to read in a different language, a child should first know how to read in his native language.
