If you take the trouble to pick up some basic Spanish pleasantries and manners before going on your Spanish or Latin American vacation, it will give your cultural experience a huge boost. Learning the basics of the language, i.e. alphabet pronunciation, small sentences and words, possibly progressing to verb conjugations will enrich your learning experience.
